Eight Things A Credit Card User Should Know
I just watched the Frontline special “The Secret History of the Credit Card” and am cranky as hell. You can watch it online.

Luckily we’re working off on paying all our debt, but it still pisses me off. I mean, if you are able to pay off the balance each month, the benefits can be great - air miles especially. But the thing is, who can really do that? So many of us have had cards since college and are carrying around an average of 8 grand in debt. To get there, you have to do what we did. Close all your accounts and just start paying all you can. But it is really hard. They raise your rates if you stop using your cards. You have to get used to living on cash, which can be tough.

But, as an online retailer, I depend on credit cards to make my living, so maybe I should pipe down.
