My thoughts go out to all those in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. My heart aches when I read news of the devastation. Please donate to Red Cross. It is yet another chance for our country to come together and help those in need.

And when all is said and done, we’ll have a ton of questions for our current administration. Such as: Why did it take Bush 3 days to get back to work? If the devastation was so terrible that he had to cut his vacation short, why wasn’t he in Washington when they thought it was an even more ruthless category 5 storm? Why is it so tough to get National Guardsmen into New Orleans to help the situation? Why they unable to comprehend that are some people just don’t have the money to fill up their gas tank (if they have a car) and high tail it out of town is beyond me. Oh, I could go on and on with this rant.

On an entirely different note - new designs and products are in the works for all the Lekker Shops. We recently moved and our internet connection was wonky for days. Stay tuned.
